Who we are

This website is operated by Bidex Limited (trading as Bidex Ltd), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16249685, with its registered office at 8 Coldpark Gardens, Bristol, BS13 8NL, United Kingdom. For the purposes of UK data protection law, we are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

Information we collect

We collect personal data when you voluntarily submit it through the enquiry form on this site. That includes your name, email address, and optionally your company name, phone number, the service you’re interested in, and whatever you write in the message field. We don’t use tracking scripts or analytics cookies, so beyond the form, the only other data generated is standard technical server logs (such as IP address and browser type) created automatically by our hosting provider as part of serving the website.

How we use it

We use the information you submit solely to respond to your enquiry, provide a quote, and, where a business relationship follows, to deliver the freight, warehousing or logistics services you’ve asked us about. Our lawful basis for this is legitimate interest — responding to enquiries you’ve initiated — and, where we go on to provide services, performance of a contract. We do not use your data for marketing you haven’t asked for, and we do not sell or rent personal data to third parties.

Who we share it with

Submitting the enquiry form triggers an email to our team. To make that happen, your enquiry passes through a small number of service providers acting as data processors on our behalf:

• Resend— the transactional email service that delivers your enquiry from our website to our inbox.
• Zoho— our email hosting provider, where enquiries are received and stored.
• Vercel— our website hosting infrastructure, which processes requests to serve the site and run the enquiry form.

Each of these providers is contractually bound to only process data on our instructions and to apply appropriate security measures. We don’t share your data with anyone else unless required to by law.

International transfers

Some of the providers listed above may process or store data on servers outside the UK. Where that happens, it’s done under recognised safeguards such as the UK’s International Data Transfer Addendum or equivalent Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

We retain enquiry data for as long as needed to respond to you and, where a business relationship follows, for the duration of that relationship plus a reasonable period afterwards to meet our legal, accounting or tax obligations. Enquiries that don’t lead anywhere are not kept indefinitely.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to ask us for access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to request a copy in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you believe we haven’t handled your data properly.
