Health & Safety Policy

Last updated 13 July 2026

Statement of intent

Bidex Limited is committed to ensuring, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health, safety and welfare of our people, our drivers, the subcontracted carriers and partners we work with, and anyone else affected by our operations. We manage our business in line with the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and associated regulations.

Much of our haulage and delivery capacity is currently provided through vetted subcontracted partners rather than a direct fleet of employed drivers. We treat health and safety as a shared responsibility across that network, not something that only applies to a fixed headcount.

Responsibilities

Management is responsible for providing safe systems of work, carrying out risk assessments where relevant, and ensuring anyone operating on our behalf — employed or subcontracted — has the competence, licensing and equipment needed to work safely. Everyone working with us, in turn, is expected to follow safe working practices, use provided equipment correctly, and report hazards or incidents promptly.

Arrangements

  • Vehicles and equipment used in our operations are expected to be maintained to a roadworthy, safe standard.
  • Subcontracted haulage partners are expected to hold appropriate operator licensing and driver competence for the work they carry out.
  • Warehousing and fulfilment activity follows safe manual handling practice, with training provided where needed.
  • Incidents and near-misses are expected to be reported so we can act on them, not just recorded.

Review

This policy is reviewed as our operations, workforce and partner network grow, to make sure it keeps reflecting how we actually work.
